The Sacramento County Bar is hosting a free talk for local area businesses on “The Business End of Patents” November 28th at 5:30pm at the Hyatt Regency downtown.

Intellectual property rights in today’s information age are not only extremely valuable assets, they are also tools used in a competitive business environment to both shield companies from their competitors’ attacks and as swords to gain a competitive advantage. Sophisticated managers wield these tools adeptly. The fundamental changes in patent law in the last five years, however, has dramatically changed the way managers must think about protecting their company’s products and methods of doing business.
